The journey of thermal water is a very long one. It can take up to 2-3 whole centuries.
It starts from the surface of the earth as pure rain water. According to geologists, through slits in geological rocks and volcanic formations, as well as geological cracks, the water from the surface slowly descends to the depths of the earth, up until at some point it encounters impermeable walls where it accumulates.
On its way down, the water gets warmer and becomes lighter. The colder waters that come in push the lighter warm water up, all the way until back to the surface of the earth, again following corridors through geological rocks and volcanic formations, as well as geological cracks.
During this long process of descending deep into the earth and rising up to the surface, the water comes in contact and is getting enriched with salts of various rocks, minerals, ions and trace elements, OBTAINING this way THE BENEFICIARY PROPERTIES for the health and wellness of humans.
According to the study of geologist Mr. Michalis Poultsidis, the hot mineral water of Agiasmata on its way back to the surface of the earth, is blended with seawater (less than 20%), as is the case with all the thermal waters that gush up near the sea, and it is enriched with chlorides. It gushes up at a temperature of 61.7 degrees Celsius.
